Koji Hakamata was born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1978 and graduated from Waseda University.

Since 2002, he has been involved in the production and direction of music-oriented video content, including music videos and stage production videos at various locations from live houses to stadiums.

He founded bloomotion in 2014, and is currently applying the style that he has cultivated in the area of music to the company's work in other domains such as corporate advertising, signage design and event production videos.
His transdisciplinary design aesthetics and direction capabilities that range from motion graphics to CG have won high praise from various quarters.
